planet500D – Dedicated to the Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i

500D wiki is now open!

With all the excitement over the announcement of the new 500D (and it seems that I’ve decided to ignore the other titles “rebel T1i” and “Kiss 3x” to make things simple around here) I thought I’d better get the wiki up and running ASAP. So as of right now, the 500D wiki is open!

I’ve set it up just like the 5D wiki and I’ve copied some of the appropriate materials over. I’ll be editing the video ‘how to’ section to customize it more to the 500D as we know more, but for now, much of the material for the 5D probably applies.

If you’re looking for a concise summary of the announcements and those covering the announcement yesterday, check out the reviews page – we’ve put as much of the information that we’ve been able to find there.

For those of you new to the “planet” sites, I’ve been covering the Canon 5D mk ii with a blog and wiki since it was announced last fall. planet5D has become one of the most visited sites on the planet when people are looking for 5D mk ii information and I plan on doing the same thing for the 500D.
