Friend of planett1i Charles sent in this tip (you can do the same!)… I think it is a great sample of what the Canon Rebel T1i/500D can produce.
“Hi,
I did a video with the 500D this weekend and I think it would be nice on your website. There are not a lot a video right now showing what the new Rebel can do in different lighting condition and with something else than 18-55mm. I believe my video is showcasing what the new Rebel can do!”
Have a tip, a video, or a Canon Rebel T1i/500D product to announce? Give us a shout
Canon Rebel T1i : My First Try from Charles-Etienne Pascal on Vimeo.
I shot this video in 720p30 using only available light and without any stabilizers or tripods. Nothing was staged or planned, just like your uncle would do with this camera. I used a Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6 and a 30mm 1.4. I color corrected the video, so yes, it is not the original colors (it’s an addiction I have…).
I am planning on shooting a few other videos with the T1i, but this time using a tripod, a Glidecam and a ModoSteady. Stay tuned!
Enjoy!

My first videos with Canon 500D and the 18-200mm is. No color correction. No image manipulation at all.
